the Genesis Podcast

Create From Chaos is a podcast that weaves biblical scholarship, original music, and personal reflection to explore a faith where chaos isn’t the enemy, but the beginning of the story. Each episode invites listeners to see the opening pages of ancient Scripture not as a closed story from the past, but as an unfolding invitation in the present.

the motherhood journey

Don’t Tell My Child (2023) is an album grown from the ache between joy and loss — becoming a mother while grieving a father’s death. Produced by Jon Seale (Fleet Foxes, Josh Garrels), these songs don’t resolve the tension of beauty and brokenness; they hold it. The accompanying artbook is a collection of works from other artists exploring the dawn of parenthood.

The prayer project

Naked Prayers is a book and album duo created from a time of deep struggle in Mara’s life. During this time of confusion, the only solace she found was in the book of Psalms, so in the footsteps of David, Mara wrote and doodled her own prayers through the valley. Naked Prayers was featured in Huffpost and the book was published by SPCK (UK).
